Lois Elliott, Certified Celebrant |
Lois Elliott has been officiating at services at White Haven since 1997. In 2005, she received additional training as a Certified Celebrant. She was the first person in New York State to achieve certification in this now widely-acclaimed program and has since performed hundreds of ceremonies.
Lois has gained a remarkable and outstanding reputation among families and funeral directors for providing beautiful, heart-felt services, tributes and memorials. Her commitment to provide personalized and meaningful services is driven by her ability to create a tribute that reflects the individual personality and life-style of the deceased.
Complementing Lois’ skills as a Celebrant is the All Seasons Chapel and Gathering Room. This modern yet spiritual facility provides the perfect setting for these uniquely personal services. It also offers the opportunity for a catered reception after the service. Lois can assist the family with the planning and preparation of their entire memorial event.
Lois also facilitates grief support groups and creates quarterly services of remembrance for the entire community. These services include readings, meditations, vocal and instrumental selections performed by local musicians as well as the Prayer of Names, which has become a much-anticipated White Haven tradition at each service.
Below are a few of the many testimonials from families whose funeral expectations were greatly surpassed by Lois.
| “Your words not only provided great comfort, you were able to deliver a meaningful message that resonated to all ages in attendance. We are grateful for the effort and eloquence displayed by you, as well as your ability to combine our words with your own thoughts, giving peace and beautiful memories which tenderly linger even today.” |

| “I can’t thank you enough for the wonderful service you held for our dad. Your kindness, your easiness, your gently way of guiding us through 'the ropes' made a very sad time manageable. We couldn’t have done it without you – you provided a beautiful service, Lois, and truly became 'part of the family' in our time of need. Thank you again,” |
